Rinse the tile faces and grout joints with a sponge and clear water immediately after scrubbing each section. If some grout remains repeat scrubbing it with the sugar water. Grout is made of cement and dries quickly. Fortunately there are a few methods that can help to remove even the most stubborn dried on grout from tiles without damaging the finish of the tile. Repeat the same process to scrub and rinse each small section of the floor until the entire tile installation is clean. Rinse the tile with clean water to remove the sugar solution. Wipe the tile dry with a clean towel to make sure all grout is removed.

To avoid excess grout use a release agent on the ceramic tile.
